Story

We recently went to Nepal for Mt Everest but it's the street dogs that defined our holiday. Everywhere we turned, there seemed to be another dog needing veterinary attention or a warm place to call home. Thinking of our beautiful dogs back home, we sought out one of the few places in Nepal actively addressing the Street Dog situation.

We visited the Kathmandu Animal Treatment Centre (KAT) and were treated to a tour and the joy of helping to feed the puppies at dinner time. We returned the very next day with friends and a tiny, beautiful puppy who we found on the street with an injured leg from what appeared to be a motor vehicle accident. The KAT centre immediately took care of our little girl, who we named Pali, and has sent us frequent updates of her treatment. Not only does KAT take in hungry, sick and injured dogs like Pali (and even cats!), but they desex an average of 6 dogs a day to tackle the problem.

Please help us to raise much needed funds for the KAT Centre so they can continue to help the thousands of street dogs in Kathmandu.

Thank you for your generosity,

From Mickey, Monique & Pali xx
