Story

‎                                   HELP THE ROHINGYA PEOPLE!

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله و بركاته

I hope this message meets you in the best of health and Imaan In Sha Allah. After the recent events that have happened to our Rohingya muslim brothers and sisters, and the persecution they have been facing for decades on end, we (Adnan and Mahfuz) have decided to just do more than share Facebook statuses and make du'a. The best actions are those which you strive hard to achieve. How can we sit idle and just watch, share and show fleeting emotions over this and not actually act with what we have? It is imperative that they get the donations they need to survive and even defend themselves. Instead of going out to eat fast food junk, why not remember the new born babies born into a life of struggle and poverty? So please, please open your hearts and donate without holding back and you will see the help of Allah open up and He will not hold back In Sha Allah.

We have set it upon ourselves to raise a mere £5,000 in total (£2,500 each). Please donate whatever you can and we will make mention of your name in our Ad'iyah In Sha Allah.

Background History-

In May 2015 scenes of desperate people stranded without food or water on captain-less boats off the coasts of Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia brought global attention to the Rohingya; a 1.1 million-strong Muslim ethnic group in Rakhine state, Myanmar (formerly Burma) and to the immediate humanitarian crisis, however, masked a much deeper and more unpalatable crisis – a genocidal persecution organised by the Myanmar State from which the Rohingya were fleeing.

However, what many people are not aware of is that reports have found compelling evidence of state-led genocidal persecution stretching back over 30 years.

Since 1982, the Rohingya people in Myanmar have been victims of widespread governmental violations that, when considered holistically, and analysed systematically, reveal a bleak conclusion: the Rohingya people are gradually being decimated.
