Huntington's Disease is an illness that effects our family, and we wanted to try to do positive things to raise money for the HDA.  "We" includes Henry, Arwen, Phil, Dirk and Jane, we are all involved in this page and this fundraising effort together.  The HDA works with people who have Huntington's, helping them and their families. They give support, raise awareness, and they also fund research which hopefully means treatment will become better and that one day there will be a cure.  

Henry wanted to help this charity in particular as his Dad has Huntington's disease which at times can make Henry feel very stressed. He wants to be positive and do things to help raise awareness and money.  His Dad is currently testing medication so that one day there can be a cure.  He has had help from the charity, with people who come to visit him.  They teach him mindfulness, yoga and help him cope with any challenges he faces. 

In November 2016, Henry (aged 11), along with Arwen and Phil (grown-ups) will be running a mile EVERY DAY!  Come rain or shine, dark or light - we will not miss a single day - this is a massive challenge for Henry!  In addition we will not be drinking any alcohol at all for the entire month. This will be less taxing for Henry - and more of a challenge for the grown-ups! 

This page starts here and now, but we hope to keep it going for a very long time, in doing so raising awareness about the Charity and raising money.  We would love to have to keep increasing our targets as donations come in, so please give generously.  We will update the page each month.
