This year I am trying to raise £1500 for an amazing charity, The Campaign Against Living Miserably. I am running 5 10K's and 2 Half Marathons in 2017, and I would really appreciate any donation you can possibly afford! It is an ambitious target but I truly believe it is possible to raise awareness for such a great charity.
"We believe that there is a cultural barrier preventing men from seeking help as they are expected to be in control at all times, and failure to be seen as such equates to weakness and a loss of masculinity. We believe that if men felt able to ask for and find help when they need it then hundreds of male suicides could be prevented."
The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is an award-winning charity dedicated to preventing male suicide. Male suicide is the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK. They offer support to men in the UK, of any age, who are down, in a crisis or just need a friendly voice to talk too. They offer support to those bereaved by suicide, through the Support After Suicide Partnership (SASP), which aims to ensure that everyone bereaved or affected by suicide is offered and receives timely and appropriate support.
Again, any support you can afford to part ways with would be hugely appreciated. I am going to running throughout the year so if you want to come and watch me sweat and pull weird faces as I struggle to run, then please come along to any of the below races!
