Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Bernadette was 24 weeks pregnant & just 24 years of age when she was diagnosed with a brain tumour. My daughter, Orlaith, was born at 29 weeks & spent 2 months in SCBU. Bernadette endured numerous sessions of radio therapy & the tumour disappeared. But 3 years later, the tumour travelled to her spine & she passed away peacefully in NI Hospice on 28th October 2009. As you can imagine, our family was devasted. During Bernadettes illness, she found comfort & met new friends through Cancer Lifeline. This charity helped not only Bernadette but our whole families & continue to help us in anyway they can to this day. They receive no money from the Government & rely on donations. Thank you for taking the time to read my story & continuing to support my fundraising efforts.
