Story
I think I'm probably the only vicar in Great Britain that commutes to church on a quad bike.
Now I'm taking on a grand challenge, to quad from our church in North London all the way down to Land's End at the tip of the country in 1 day.
It's all to raise money for our Go and Grow project. Next year, we're relocating our church to the heart of North Finchley. We've purchased "Solar House" an office block on the high road to transform into a space for the whole community.
We're now in the final phase of fundraising to kit out the building. It will have an auditorium for services and conferences. A cafe space for toddler groups and english classes. An area for our homeless group to eat and feel at home, a food bank and clothes bank. A whole floor dedicated to children and youth with space for them to call their own after school and at weekends. Our vision is it will also be the base for charities and social enterprises, reaching out into London and across the world.
The Go and Grow project is going to be transformational for the whole of North Finchley for decades to come - but it doesn't come cheap and the whole church is pulling together to raise the funds. I'd be so grateful if you could chip in and help us reach our target too!
