Story
So, Laura and I are getting married... at last. After ‘living in sin’ for so long, and having Laura remind me last year that we have been together for eight years, I thought it was probably time that we tied the knot!
The wedding itself is all organised (or will be soon anyway... let's hope so). But there was one thing that both Laura and I didn't exactly know how to handle, and that was the Wedding List. We consider ourselves very lucky to have a roof over our head and to have the good fortune to be able to have a honeymoon in Disney World only 12 months after I proposed to Laura at Disney World. We have no need for a toaster or umbrella stand to furnish our home (we could do with getting rid of a few things to be honest!).
Asking for money as a present just didn't seem to be a very British thing to do. So we thought it would be a good idea to try and help others who haven't had as much luck as we have had and help make their dreams come true, just like Laura is making my dreams come true (sorry, I know it's cheesy but it's a wedding!).
So we ARE asking for money, but not for us. Please, please could you help us raise money to help someone else who is going through a bad situation, and donate as much as you would have spent on a toaster (a decent toaster retails for about £30 on Amazon!) to Make a Wish Foundation UK... but give a bit more!
Thank you!
Tom and Laura
