Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is the world's leading medical humanitarian aid organisation. We work in over 70 countries - in conflict zones, natural disasters and epidemics. We are independent, neutral and impartial. We provide medical care where it's needed most.

Story

Hello :)

My name is Zeena Oberoi and this summer I will be hiking the GR20 across Corsica with students from the University of St Andrews and the University of Edinburgh. It is a charity hike to raise money for Médecins Sans Frontières/ Doctors Without Borders (MSF).

We will be hiking and camping from the North of Corsica to the South for almost 15 days. Yes, the GR20 terrifies me, especially since it's been labeled as one of the toughest hikes in Europe. However, one thing that working with the Friends of MSF society has taught me is that people have experienced worse. This hike is not a vacation but a statement to myself and to others that charity is not solely about the funds but also about the strength, determination and the willingness to overcome obstacles (even literal ones), that the volunteers of MSF face everyday. I hope to develop these skills through my hike and come back as a changed person.

Even though I am not a medic, I think the work they do deserves a lot more support and appreciation across the world. Help improve the lives of people in need across the world by supporting MSF.

Thank you!!!
