I've always wanted to run the Great North Run so this is partly a personal challenge I've set myself, but also an opportunity to raise some money for Kimbilio - Congo Children's Trust, a small charity which helps provide refuge to street children in Lubumbashi in D.R. Congo. The Kimbilio project provides shelter, food, medical care, education and love. Whenever possible, Kimbilio works to reintegrate children with their families.

In recent months there has been a significant increase in the number of children living on the streets of Lubumbashi particularly as a result of the conflict in the Kasai province. The number of children attending the Kimbilio day centre has more than doubled and the project is in need of your support.
