Running for a Cure

Bath Half Marathon 2018 · 4 March 2018 ·
After being diagnosed with Type-1 Diabetes at the age of 9, I spiraled into a lack of control that put me at risk for various complications - from blindness to even amputation. Eventually, learning to count carbohydrates and starting to exercise - running - transformed my life. I can now happily say my diabetes is well-controlled. However, living with the condition is still a daily struggle, and is so for the some 400,000 Type-1 Diabetics in the UK. This is where the JDRF comes in as the UK's premier charity supporting research into finding a cure for the disease. This is why I'm committing to run the Bath Half-Marathon for JDRF. I hope I can count on your support!
