Holiplay Jump Rope For Heart · 6 July 2016

Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

This year Holiplay has registered with the British Heart Foundation’s popular Jump Rope For Heart Program. This program recognises the important role that regular physical activity plays in maintaining and improving health, and aims to introduce children to the massive potential of skipping and associated health benefits through a series of structured skipping sessions.

An important part of the Jump Rope for Heart is the organisation of a Jump Off. This is a sponsored event which will take place at the end of a progressive series of skipping sessions and will enable the children to demonstrate, through a number of activities, how they have developed their skipping ability.

The aim of the event is to encourage the children to be more active whilst raising money for the British Heart Foundation’s life saving work.

Sadly, one in every 180 babies born in the UK has a heart defect and every seven minutes someone in the UK dies of a heart attack. With your support, they can drive the fight forward by doing more research, making more discoveries and offering information, support and care to heart patients and their families.

Right up until the end of the year members of Holiplay Kids Club and Holiplay Kids Camps will be taking it in turns to participate in their very own Jump Off event starting with Holiplay Kids Club Shirley Park on Wednesday 6th July 2016. Jump Off details for your child's club or camp will be made available to parents and carers closer to the event date.

Donations can be made online via the Holiplay Foundation webpage, our Just Giving webpage or by completing a sponsorship form and hand in the form and any monies into the Play Leader Manager at your child's setting after the event.

I'd like to say thank you in advance for all of your support for the children, Team Holiplay and indeed the British Heart Foundation Charity who do amazing campaign work all year round!

Kind regards,

Daniel Amos-Phillips
