In April 2010, my dad was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia and then extremely quickly, this horrible illness won in May 2010, just one month after diagnosis. This changed my life and something I never thought at 18 I would have to go through and even more so, seeing my 9 year old sister lose her daddy and my mum lose her husband was an extremely tough time for the Savage family.

As a result, this year will mark five years since we lost the most important man in our family, so what is better than to run the Marathon and try and raise as much money for this charity to try and help fight this awful illness that takes away so many loved ones each year?!

Dad enjoyed nothing more than a round of golf, so I thought for the 18 holes of golf he played each time whether this be Wentworth, Sleaford Golf Club or upmarket in Spain on the 'lads' holidays, the only running they did would be to the 19th hole, aka the bar. Therefore, I am going to go one better and run (or crawl!) a few miles... 26.2 miles to be precise around London on April 26th 2015!

Every penny and pound will help this charity so much and I would be ever so appreciative for any donation you can sponsor towards this cause. The training has begun, the trainers have been purchased and the gym has been joined... the fight is on!
