I'm walking at Shine Manchester in the fight against Cervical Cancer

Shine Manchester in the fight against cervical cancer · 8 September 2012 ·
My Mum looked Cervical Cancer straight in the eye and literally laughed at it for daring to think it could take her on. But without Christies knowledge, research and treatment she would not have been stood here today no matter how determined she was.
So, how do you thank someone for saving your Mums life?
Seeing the advert for Shine I knew this was my chance to do just that. It was a lonngggggg night. I started at 9.08pm and finished at 6.01am. And it was a VERY long 26.2 miles... But I made it!
The last four miles were very difficult and several times I wondered if I could do it but remembering everyone that had sponsored their hard earned money and all the messages of support I have had kept me going.
THANK YOU to everyone that has sponsored me.
I am amazed by the amount that I have raised and I am so glad that I can donate this to cervical cancer research. I will forever be in Christies debt for saving my Mummys life but at least now I know I have done my best to thank them and hopefully save other peoples Mummys in the future.
It's not too late to donate some money if you haven't had the chance to yet. I will be keeping my page open for a couple of weeks yet.

As some people may know my Mum was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2001. She had chemo and radiotherapy at Christies in Manchester. She fought because she had to. She beat it. And she is still cancer free taking me on Mummy/Daughter shopping trips today.
But for so many people this isn't the case and that's why I decided to do this... Because every little girl needs her Mummy for as long as possible.
Now, those that know me will know.... I dont walk! haha I have a car... I use it! But if I am going to expect you all to donate your hard earned cash I figure I have to earn it right?! So if you see me walking the streets of Swinton late at night, don't be alarmed, just shout out the car window at me to go faster!
Every single penny you donate will be used wisely to research Cervical Cancer and ensure that as many women as possible survive. And every single penny counts, so please please please please donate whatever you can.
I am going to be taking part in the walk with some wonderful work colleagues whom will be in my charity team on here. They are all supporting cancer research charities too, and there are a few different ones in there. So if you have any more spare pennies please check their profiles out too and donate to their charities.
Thank you for taking the time to read my page and thank to every single person that donates
