The Three Peaks Challenge · 11 April 2013

Prospect Hospice provides end-of-life care to people and offers support to their loved ones. Our specialist teams provide care that is tailored to the needs of each person. All our care is provided free of charge and it costs £9.1million to run our services. Your support is vital to our care.

Story

On 13th - 14th July 2013 I will be taking part and completing the National Three Peaks Challenge.

This is an event in which we will climb the highest mountains of Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. The three peaks are:

  • Ben Nevis  (1,344 metres, 4,409 ft), the highest mountain in Scotland
  • Scafell Pike (978 m, 3,209 ft), the highest mountain in England
  • Snowdon (1,085 m, 3,560 ft), the highest mountain in Wales

The total distance we will walk is estimated at 26 miles, with a total ascent of 9,800 feet (3,000 m).

This is going to be a really demanding challenge but it will be worth every penny that I can raise for the most fantastic of charities. I really will appreciate any amount of money you are willing to donate, and I know the Prospect Hospice will be extremely grateful.

Thanks to everyone for their support!
