HUMEN is leading a global movement to improve & maintain men's mental health.76% of all UK suicides are male. The HUMEN Space: the Gym For Your Mind are anonymous and non-clinical spaces across the globe for men to talk, listen and connect on a regular basis. Striving to change the narrative until a prevention approach over a crisis response is the norm, not the exception. HUMEN is changing the face of what it means to be a man. Providing an accessible solution to prevent men from suffering in silence and dying too young.

In October 2021, we lost one of our closest friends, James Hartley, to suicide. If you had the pleasure of knowing him you would know he was the life and soul of every party and would always be there for you if needed him. I can think of many occasions which he would bring joy and happiness to, not only me , but my family and friends!! We miss him so much and have decided to take on the challenge of running the Southampton ABP 10k . I will be running with Amy Wenham, Aaron Christey, James Harvey, Louis Taylor and Paul Hackett to raise funds for HUMEN. This is a Men's Mental Health charity wanting to prevent men from suffering in silence & dying too young. With donations they aim to Improve & maintain men's mental health. If this can help prevent someone else for taking their own lives it will be worth it. Unfortunately we could not save James from his demons but hopefully we can save someone else. ALL MEN MATTER and they need to know there are people to help.
