Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page to raise money for St Rose's school. I am walking to Gloucester and back on February 22nd in order to raise money.
I have been fortunate enough to volunteer at St Rose's school and meet their amazing staff and students. St Rose's has an immediate welcoming and happy environment and I have made some real friends out of my volunteering experience.
They take care of children and students from 2 to 25 with a wide range of disabilities, providing education, therapy and day and residential care. Many of these incredible young people are challenged by having physical disabilities as well as sensory, learning and communication difficulties. BUT, from meeting the students I am truly inspired by them and the joy they bring to me and everyone in the room. Their intelligence, humour and willingness to learn is so inspirational.
The staff at St Rose's school work so incredibly hard to ensure that their students have the best experiences at school possible. Everything the staff do is centred around catering for the individual and making sure the students have the best possible experiences - including providing out of school activities! Their commitment to their work is what makes St Rose's so great.
Your donations will help St Rose's pay for specialist equipment, the staff needed and opportunities for the astounding students and children to have the best help and support. Your donations can help young individuals with their daily life challenges like being able to communicate and having mobility - helping them to gain their independence.
St Rose's is more than just a school, its a family!
