My name is Holly and I'll be partaking in this years London Landmarks Half Marathon and I have decided to run for Marie Curie. 

I am not only doing this to raise money for this charity but to also raise general awareness about Marie Curie. Marie Curie provided an invaluable service to palliative patients who are inpatients in anyone of the 9 UK hospices and in the community. 

As a Registered Nurse I decided to start my career in palliative care at Marie Curie Hospice Hampstead; I chose this practice as I believe that terminal diagnosis, however long the prognosis, requires time, compassion, empathy and above all high quality care. 

Marie Curie is irreplaceable and rely heavily on fundraising to enable the charity to operate; which in turn allows myself and my colleagues to provided respite, symptom control and terminal care to patients who need it. 

Therefore, I'll be putting myself through my paces (hopefully with a giant daffodil on my head) in aid of Marie Curie. Any donations I am extremely thankful for and would also be grateful for you sharing this page.
