Torture tries to destroy lives. We won't let it. We stand with survivors, providing therapy and support, and fighting for change together.

Story

Four of us - Elspeth Broady, Chris Sevink, Amanda Williams and Dave Williams - are Brighton neighbours and Freedom from Torture supporters. We're setting out to replicate last year's Cycle against Torture ride from Hastings to Edinburgh on our exercise bikes - that's 865 lockdown-friendly miles! We've been joined by Carolyn Burch and Richard Raggett from Fife, who are adding miles from their daily cycle circuit, and Anna Sevink and Philip Johnston from Manchester, who’ve dusted off their exercise bike to lend us support.

We were inspired by Moira Dunsworth and the amazing Cycle against Torture riders who raised over £20K last year. Our challenge is a little easier - no hills or headwinds - but please support us generously. Times are very hard for FFT as a result of the CoVid-19 pandemic. Please help them continue their fantastic work.

Freedom from Torture is the only UK-based human rights organisation dedicated to the treatment and rehabilitation of torture survivors. Your support could help provide counselling, group therapy and ongoing support for survivors of torture. Your donation will help give someone hope and strength on their journey to recovery. We’d love to keep in touch, if you would like to receive our email updates, please take a moment to sign up here: www.freedomfromtorture.org/signup

Thank you for standing with torture survivors.
