Virgin London Marathon 2012 · 22 April 2012 ·

NeuroMuscular Centre (NMC) supports people and families affected by neuromuscular conditions. We offer physiotherapy, training & development, support & advice, young people’s support, and ConnectUp, our social programmes, all supporting the physical and emotional well-being of our community.

Story

Muscle disease affects people of all ages, gender and ethnicity and is often genetically inherited. Ever since I learnt about the impact of Muscular Dystrophy I've wanted to do something to help. The NMC do amazing work to support people affected by the disease, there's no known cure but the treatment the centre provide increases life expectancy and quality of life.

Running the marathon is a challenge I've always wanted to tackle and learning about Muscular Dystrophy makes me realise how fortunate I am to have the chance. After 3 months of intense training (with still another 6 weeks to go), I'm appreciating how difficult it's going to be! I'm not planning on doing this again...so please dig deep and donate now to support this great cause and help me to make a difference.

Thanks, Howard.
