Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 14th of July 2012, I, alongside Ben Lawrence are cycling from Land's End to John o'Groats. This cycle is over 1000 miles long and all the money raised will be donated to the Alzheimer's Society. As a group we are hoping to raise £10,000 so any money donated here will go into that overall total. We are hoping to complete the ride in ten days, covering an average of 100 miles a day and then sleeping overnight in youth hostels and BnB's.
The Alzheimer's Society was chosen as our charity because the disease is one which has touched many of our lives, with many family and friends suffering from Alzheimer's. Another good reason for supporting this charity is that the Society is very prominent in the cycling world and organise many cycling events, all over the world to raise money for their charity.
None of the money donated will be used to cover travel costs or any expenses during the ride. The money that you will donate will help improve the living standards of people suffering from dementia by funding day care and home care centres for people with dementia, as well as support and befriending services to help partners and families cope with the demands of caring. It really is a great cause so please dig deep and donate now, any contribution will be warmly recieved. Thank you

A special mention must go to Downland Cycles for sponsoring us for this ride, it would not be possible to do this ride without them. Visit their website if you want anything cycling-related! http://www.downlandcycles.co.uk/index.htm
