Story
On 10th April 2015, I'll be joining a team of 25 people attempting to visit every tube station in London in a single day.
Do you think that sounds easy?
The current world record for visiting all the tube stations in London is 16 hours 20 minutes and 27 seconds. The tube is only open for about 19 hours a day. 3 hours leeway? That's loads right?
But there's that whole "19 hour endurance thing".
And morning rush hour.
And the Friday night drunks.
Oh, and evening rush hour too.
And the inevitable breakdown in the middle of a tunnel somewhere on the Northern Line.
Also the fact that I will be on tube trains for nearly 24 hours. Most people want to end all of mankind after dealing with the tube for 24 minutes on their way to work in the morning.

Why I'm fundraising for Sobell House
On 07 June 2014, my uncle David Clegg died from cancer. What started as a colon cancer quickly spread to many of his other organs, and in less than a year from his initial diagnosis he was gone.
In his memory, I've chosen to raise money for Sobell House Hospice Charity. They provided 24-hour care for my uncle in his final days, and it's still incredibly difficult for me to explain even now how valuable that service was for my family, and how valuable it will continue to be for many others in future.
The last time I saw my uncle prior to his admission to Sobell House, he was in so much pain it was driving him delirious. I don't think I have ever seen anyone experience as much suffering as that before, and I would never wish to see anyone experience it ever again. The staff at Sobell House were able to make him feel comfort for a while right at the end. The value of palliative care they provide people like my uncle is incalculable, and so often overlooked. It's much easier to talk about funding research to fight cancer than it is funding the people who help those whom no cure is available.
That's why I've decided to raise money for Sobell House Hospice by taking part in Walk The Tube 2015.
Please donate something to give me some added motivation to do this. Donate the cost of a pint. Give me a single £1 that you'd spend buying a can of coke at the corner shop. If you could give me more than that then that'd be great. It'd mean a lot to me, my family, and the staff at Sobell House Hospice. Most importantly, it'll mean a lot to the people to who hospices like Sobell House work so very hard to help every day of the year.
