Lewy body dementia is the second most common cause of age-related dementia, affecting around 130,000 people in the UK. We raise awareness of the disease, provide information to patients and carers, and fund research so that in future it can be more easily diagnosed and treated.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We really appreciate your time and interest in Lewy Bodies - please do visit the Lewy Body Society webpage to find out more about this pernicious desease.

For those visiting this page who do not know Hugh, he was recently diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia. It is a tragic way for such a fun-loving and energetic person to live out the rest of their life. With Anne by his side, with the help of his sister Pat, other friends and family as well as tremenous help from the NHS, Alzheimer's and Lewy Body societies he will no doubt continue to enjoy as much of life as he can for a long time to come yet.

Hugh celebrates his 75th birthday and together with Anne they are celebrating 15 years of wonderful marriage together in January 2013. This page is simply to help anyone who wishes to celebrate love, friendship, and marriage to do so with us.

Any amount of money you donate to help cure this disease is greatly appreciated.
