Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Hullbridge Community First Responders (CFRs) are volunteers who have been trained to respond to local emergency calls on behalf of East of England ambulance service. We are deployed at the same time as a rapid response vehicle or a doubled staffed ambulance to attend "immediate life-threatening" calls and provide basic life-saving clinical care to the patient in those vital first few minutes before the arrival of the ambulance . We are also a very welcomed second pair of hands to an ambulance staff when they arrive. Not only do we cover our beautiful village but we also cover the Rayleigh area when they are unavailable or already on another call.

In order to carry out this service, we require a kit containing all the necessary equipment. We are looking to expand our volunteering hours with an additional response kit. Being able to be cover more hours and in turn respond to more calls or multiple calls.

If you would also like to join the team then please visit East of England Ambulance website

We are in the final stage of receiving a grant from Mid & South Essex Integrated Care System Health Inequalities Microgrant Fund. Funding is administered through The Mid and South Essex CVS Network. This funding will cover the biggest cost in a new kit, The defib.

Some of the equipment we carry costs a small fortune so we are looking to raise funds to support this purchase. (Prices have been update according to new price lists. Target was £2500) The target of £1950 to purchase a second kit consists of. Unfortunately we have had to raise the target again to include another piece of kit. this has taken the total cost back to its original target

£950 Defibrillator

£470 Pulse Ox

£40 Blood pressure monitor

£55 Tympanic Thermometer

£300 Kit bag

£50 New starter uniform

£700 misc kit
