Our mission is to make the discoveries that defeat cancer. Our vision is that people can live their lives free of cancer as a life-threatening disease. We work on all cancer types incl. children's cancers, pancreatic, brain and lung cancer. Please support our work and help us defeat cancer.

Story

Thank you so much to everyone who has sponsored and supported me in my challenge which I successfully completed on Sunday 2nd Aug in 6 hours 40 minutes, much faster than expected!! With your help Ihave raised a fantastic amount for The Institute of Cancer Research!

I have known many people who have been affected from cancer, I therefore are taking on this challenge to not only to remember those I have lost but to do my bit to help the ICR to continue to make the discoveries that defeat cancer.

What makes the ICR unique is that it has it's own research laboratories and centres where scientists and clinicians work every day. The ICR also partners with The Royal Marsden which was the first hospital in the UK entirely dedicated to cancer patients, this enables us to adopt a 'bench to bedside approach' allowing our researchers to get treatments to patients quickly and to gain new experience from the clinic. Together the two organisations are rated in the top four cancer centres globally which really highlights the quality of the research being done.

I do hope you will support me on my mission of cycling through London and up the legendary Box Hill by giving to the ICR.

Thank you!
