Story
Some of the gentlemen from Liverpool's Institute of Infection and Global Health, and their supporters, are growing moustaches for Movember (and the ladies are doing their bit too – see below).
Liverpool's Institute of Infection and Global Health, tackles key Infectious Diseases of humans and animals in the UK and globally,
see http://www.liv.ac.uk/infection-and-global-health/
Our research includes work on men's sexual health, especially HIV and related Infections.
Movember is an international campaign to grow moustaches in the month of November, raising awareness about Men’s Health Issues, and raising funds for Research. Although originally this was about Prostate cancer, see http://uk.movember.com/ the chaps in our Institute are more interested in men’s sexual health
So the money we raise will go into the Institute Research Fund
In sympathy/commiseration/celebration some of the ladies in the Institute are going to run the santa dash (5km) in Liverpool on 2nd December. If you are interested in joining that please get in touch, via our Facebook page.
