Horse & Hound's charity of the year 2016 · 31 December 2015

Its prime purpose is to provide appropriate help, medical, financial and otherwise, to current and retired jockeys who are injured, unable to ride or in need.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Horse & Hound's official JustGiving page for our 2016 charity of the year, the Injured Jockeys Fund (IJF). In addition to your generous donations to the charity via this page, we will be making a donation for every advert in H&H magazine (31 December 2015 issue) that carries the charity’s logo.

While the IJF was set up to help jockeys, in recent years it has opened its doors to help injured riders from other disciplines. Some of those it has helped include: Kitty King, Laura Collett, Aaron Millar and H&H blogger Susanna Hext.

Horse & Hound is going to be working throughout 2016 to raise awareness of the IJF's excellent work and help raise funds to enable them to help even more riders in the future. To keep in touch with all of Horse & Hound's work with the IJF visit our website at: http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/tag/injured-jockeys-fund

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the IJF on Horse & Hound's behalf. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
