Story
My wonderful Dad sadly passed away on 28 June 2020 after battling cancer.
Tim was a fun loving guy who lived life to the full. He was a remarkable father and husband. He spent a wonderful 25 years with his wife, Donna (although if he was here he would say a VERY long 25 years).
He was taken from us far too soon but we appreciate all the time and the fond memories we have got with him.
His wish was to be able to stay at home, which without Treetops, their Hospice at Home nurses and their support we wouldn't have been able to do. Their support was invaluable, it gave me and mum much needed rest at night and reassurance that he is ok and in good hands. Unfortunately, it came to the stage where it just wasn't possible for dad to stay at home, so he went to the Nightingale MacMillan unit, where he spent one night before passing away.
Tim's wish was that any donations should go to Treetops. I have set up this page to allow anyone who wishes to donate, to do so. It will support Treetops Hospice Care for all the amazing work, supporting families at their time of need in our local community and to say thank you for all the support and care they gave us.
One of our family members Michael, has taken it upon himself to take on an incredible challenge. He will be doing a memorial bike ride in tribute to Tim. He will be riding from Bristol to Derby on 21st July, which is 240km. He will do this in one day and will take over 12 hours to complete. If there are any avid
cyclists that would like to join him for the last 20/30 miles then please let me know, he would appreciate the company.
