INTO Giving for INTO University of Exeter

INTO University of Exeter is raising money for INTO Giving
In memory of Dr Neil Macleod
INTO GIVING STICKS UP FOR GIRLS' AND CHILD REFUGEE EDUCATION, AND FOR CHILDREN AT RISK OF BEING FORCED OR COERCED OUT OF SCHOOL BECAUSE OF POVERTY. Since 2008, we have helped thousands of children at nearly 30 projects, across more than 20 countries and 5 continents.

Story

Our Centre Director Neil, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of Lymphoma in November 2021. He found an inner strength to battle through intensive rounds of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and a stem cell transplant. He made it through so many gruelling treatments, infections and set backs but in April of this year he sadly passed away.

Neil was never bitter about his illness and, even at the end, he kept that positivity as he was able to go home on the day that he died- just as he had wished. Neil's death has left his wife and children heartbroken.

As colleagues and friends within the centre we would like to support  (Exeter Leukaemia Fund - through INTO Giving) who work to support blood cancer patients through improving facilities, funding staffing and specialist equipment, funding research and a range of services to make life a little easier for those attending the Haematology Centre at the RD&E.

Thank you.
