The big shearing · 31 July 2020

St Rocco’s Hospice provides specialist care and support across Warrington, helping those who are coping with a life-limiting illness. It costs over £5 million each year to run the hospice – which means we need to raise over £12,000 each and every day just to keep running.

Story

After weeks and weeks of lockdown, I can't be the only one with a head full of hair? Now, even though officially the barbers open on Saturday 4 July, I've resolved to hang on to my locks just a little longer. Why might you ask? My wife certainly did.

I want to hang on to these luscious locks just a little bit longer to raise some money for a local charity that's very special to the town where I work.

St Roccos stand to benefit from my slightly unkempt looks as I look to raise a target of £500. One lucky sponsor will be drawn on 30 July 2020 and on Friday 31 July, they'll have the opportunity of shearing this lovely barnet.

St Roccos is a brilliant charity, who support patients physically, psychologically and emotionally to enable them to carry on living the lives they want to live for as long as possible. Like most charities, they can only continue to do this through generous public support.

So, a big thank you for supporting this remarkable charity and helping me to reach my target.
