We help the babies, children and young people treated at Scotland's largest children's hospital, the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. We fund medical equipment, research, play programmes and family support services to ensure that our young patients receive the best possible care and experience.

The Vezza family are friends of ours and their daughter Sofia (who is a beautiful, bubbly, happy little girl) is a very close friend of my  daughter Orlaith.  Sofia has been diagnosed with acute leukaemia. She is being treated in the Schiehallion Ward at Yorkhill and her wish is for the money I raise to be donated to this ward for a television and wii for the children to use. As you will all appreciate some of the children need to stay in this ward for long periods at a time for their treatment.  These two little items will make such a difference and hopefully put a smile on their face.

Schiehallion Ward is a 22 -bedded Haematology/Oncology unit. Bone Marrow Transplant Centre. They also treat children with other blood disorders including Haemophilia, Thalassaemia, Sickle Cell Disease and many more.

Shiehallion Ward was purpose built in 1996 to meet the needs of an increasing client group.

In Schiehallion they believe in emphasising a familycentered approach to care, by involving the parents/guardians in the planning and delivering of the childs care.
