Ian's Kilimanjaro Challenge

Kilimanjaro Challenge · 12 February 2016
Hi Guys thanks for dropping by and I hope you will support me in this epic challenge. On the 11th February 2016 I travel to Tanzania to start a 7 day trek up Kilimanjaro at 19,341ft, it is the highest free standing mountain in the world. At the age of 61 and three quarters I am taking on this challenge so please support me for this great cause.
Right first job - why the Stroke Association.
Well in about 1987 my father had a massive stroke that took away his voice, legs and swallow response. He lived for a further 5 years and the burden of his care was was left to my elderly mother who soldiered on with help from family and friends. My Father died in 1992 from complications caused by the stroke.
The Stroke Association was founded in 1992 to specifically to prevent Strokes, fund research, to support everyone touched by stroke and to campaign for the rights of stroke survivors of all ages.
Now fast forward to 2012 and Susan's mum (Pat) had a massive Stroke - let me tell you there is a total difference in the care these days so much so that Pat has made great progress and now has a good quality of life. This can be put down to the level of care, expertise and treatment carried out by the now dedicated Stroke clinics. This progress in treating strokes has been championed by the Stroke Association - they really do make a difference.
So please give generously to this great cause and make a difference to someones life.
Thank you.
