In memory of Helene Engman
We are radically advancing research to achieve a life free from epilepsy

Story

I am setting up this page in memory of my darling Helene, who was my Partner, my love, my life and from the very first time I met her I knew that she was my soul mate.  Helene had her life cut tragically short on 14th February 2018 and in just a couple of short weeks my whole world has been torn apart.  The sudden, accidental nature of her death has left me, my children and her family completely bereft, our hearts are broken and our lives will never be the same again without her.  Helene and I were due to marry in August of this year and she was so very excited and very much looking forward to it.

Helene was a beautiful, kind, giving person and I know in my heart she would want something positive to come out of such a tragedy, so I have set up this Just Giving Page in her memory in aid of Epilepsy Research UK.  Helene herself suffered from epilepsy, so I know that this is a cause that would be very close to her heart.  Epilepsy is a serious, common neurological disorder that affects the lives of millions and can have a devastating effect on people and their families, affecting all aspects of their lives.  Epilepsy Research UK supports the work of scientists and clinicians throughout the UK who are investigating all aspects of epilepsy in both adults and children. They especially look at the causes and developing safer drugs and better surgical techniques to treat it.

Helene made many, many friends in the UK when she came to live with me here.  Very soon she will be laid to rest in her beloved, native Sweden.  This page is to give all of her friends both here in the UK and in Sweden the opportunity to give something in her honour and in remembrance of her.  Your kind donations, no matter how large or small will help change lives and will be very much appreciated by myself, my children and Helene's family at this very sad time.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
