We provide holistic care to empower people affected by leprosy.

Story

I have met many leprosy affected people. Some are just devastated by what they have grown up to believe is a punishment. The young man in the picture I met in 2009 was one such. This meeting led my wife and I to try to help such people by supporting the work of The Leprosy Mission as fund raisers. Since that first encounter we have seen how the holistic approach of the dedicated staff of the national organisations really make a difference. In India, last year, we met a young trainee at a Vocational Training Centre. He had been cured of his leprosy and was looking forward to a bright future. His message to his fellow trainees was 'Leprosy isn't scary!'

I want to help the mission to make a difference by stopping the slide into despair and, instead, to give the thrill of a changed life and positive future.
