There's no greater challenge than saving a life that has yet to be lived...
The Neonatal Unit at Newcastle's RVI specialises in saving babies lives.
Every year there are as many as 600 premature or ill newborn babies that need vital help when they first enter the world.
That's why we are all running to help these Tiny Lives.
It's also a personal challenge having experienced the work and dedication of special care staff at first hand. There's no greater feeling in the world than being handed your newborn baby and no words to describe the feeling of hopelessness at seeing it taken away in an incubator struggling to breathe in the first few hours of life.
That's what happened when Evan was born in November 2007 but thanks to the superb care he received after 12 days he came home.
Visit the Tiny Lives website to discover more about the charity and the life-saving work it supports through the purchase of cutting edge equipment, research and specialist staff and the stories of those that they have helped in such difficult circumstances.
It can continue to do this thanks to you and your suppport.
We are aiming to raise £3,000 so please help us, help them.
Your donation will motivate us to keep going during the 13 mile slog from Newcastle to South Shields so thank you!
ps. Please Gift Aid your donation. It costs you nothing but means Tiny Lives can claim more vital money!
