Update 25/06/2021

I endeavoured to run 250 miles ( over 9 marathons all in one go) at the Iconic Thames Ring foot race on June 23rd 2021, the very day of my 50th birthday. Sadly I failed at around 59 miles having added 4 miles on to the route due to getting lost, also my friend rolled his ankle which slowed us down. Realising my friend could not making it on time I tried to run ahead but left it to late and was timed out by 3 minutes, Ultimately what cost me the race was getting lost, something I seem to have a history for.

My plan now is to run the NDW100 on August 7th, a very tough course that travels from Farnham in the Surrey Hills to Ashford in Kent with a total climb of 10,000 feet.

I hope that I can raise as much money as possible for 'Food For Life Global' as their primary mission is to bring about peace and prosperity in the world through the liberal distribution of pure plant-based meals prepared with loving intention.

I chose to support this charity for this epic endeavour as they not only seek to feed the most impoverished in the world, but they feed the most needy at no expense to the lives of other sentient beings. They are 100% vegan and thus they not only feed the most healthy and nutritious food to the most in need, they are also able to do it at a fraction of the cost due to providing plant based ingredients.

A mile equates to on average 2000 steps, If a sponsor donates a cent per step that means for every 25 steps a child gets a meal for each mile 80 children could be fed at the cost of a $20 ( roughly £15) sponsor.

If there are any corporate businesses that would like to get involved please contact me directly, especially any vegan friendly companies that want to advertise their brand. I will be looking to get some local  press coverage for the cause of promoting the charity, the event and promoting a vegan lifestyle.
