St Richard's Hospice Worcestershire Way Walk 2019 · 5 July 2019 ·
2019 marks Bishop Fleming's Centenary and the firm is aiming to raise £100,000 for good causes during the year. A group of us are going to walk 100 miles finishing with the gruelling 31 mile Worcestershire Way in a Day. We will start in Welshpool and walk 69 miles down the Severn Way in 3 days before taking on the WWD walk. I have done WWD 7 times so I know how tough it is. 6 of us are doing the full 100 miles; 7 more joining for the last 31 and then several more for the final 16 miles. (And we are grateful to our friends at Worcestershire County Cricket Club who are providing parking for all of our walkers).
Whilst most people understand the end of life support that the Hospice provides, not so many know about the "Living Well" support they provide to patients with life limiting diseases and their carers. Those who know my own family's circumstances will understand why this is a cause close to my heart and something, sadly, that Lit and I will need to use in the near future..
