Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride · 10 July 2011

We provide specialist end-of-life care, and a wide range of support services, to over 1,200 people who are living with a life-limiting illness in the Wigan Borough. Many patients are cared for in their own homes, although we also care for people living in care homes and in our In-Patient Unit.

Story

On Sunday, 10th July I (along with some of the teachers and parents of kids from St Wilfrid's School, Standish) will be doing the 60 mile Manchester to Blackpool bike ride along with hundreds of others.

Our chosen charity is the Wigan and Leigh Hospice which aims to improve the quality of life of local people living with life-threatening illnesses, whilst supporting their families and carers. The Hospice is an independent charity with care being provided free of charge to over 500 local people each year.

Your sponsorship, no matter what the size, will be greatly appreciated.

I'll send out a picture when I've done it which won't be dissimiar to the one on this page, except I might be vomiting on it.

Thanks to everyone who has donated so far. I notice a few comments about getting a saw arse. Don't worry. I've just bought some special shorts with a padded gusset.
