Well the time is nearly here! This is by far the most difficult thing I have done to date. Snowdonia Marathon is regarded as one of the most difficult marathons in the UK, not only because of the extreme weather they can get, but the HUGE hills that need to be tackled (have a look at the pictures for an idea..!).
I've spent the last three months building up to this, running about 300 miles, burning about 32,000 calories with 2-4 hours of solo running on a Saturday morning each week (it gets pretty lonely let me tell you).
I'm running it for Mind Mental Health Charity. As a Psychology teacher, I'm aware of the stigma that is often attached to those suffering from mental health issues, and wanted to do my bit to help a charity that support those with mental health problems, and also work to reduce the stigma.
I know most of you have donated before, and it is greatly appreciated, but if you can just spare a few pounds (and a thought for me!), you'd really be helping a great charity.
Thanks in advance!
Ian
