Story
On March 10th 2017 we lost one of our greatest friends. Elaine was one in a million to so many people. A caring and loving wife, a fantastic mum, beautiful daughter and a nutty sister. But we will always remember her as a truly great friend. The love and care she showed me and Sarah will never be forgotten and we will always miss seeing her sit and play with our son Robin. The picture of Elaine and Robin on this page is one of our favourites as it tells a story. Despite everything Elaine was going through she always had a cuddle or a kind word for Robin. He loved his friend Laney. There was a friendship in the making there. She would of also loved our Daughter Molly. Elaine was so looking forward to meeting our new baby. But she just didn't make it.
Elaine got 4 more years than first expected and for that we owe the Royal Marsden and the advances in medicine. But ultimately we all feel robbed by cancer. It has taken one of life's good ones once again.
I will be taking on two 100ks, London to Brighton and South Coast Challenge. This is going to test me and my body
Sarah will be taking on 50k London to Brighton.
Not only us but more of Elaine's family and friends looking to do various lengths of one or both of these walks. The last count was 12 including my wing man Angel and Elaine's son Ben. Ben and I will be doing both 100ks together. But what ever the distance, we are a team and we will push each other on.
Sarah and i are looking to raise £1000 for the Royal Marsden. please donate as not only is the cause a good one but the person we are doing it for is also.
Thanks
Ian
