Story
Please help me celebrate my 60th birthday in a special way!
Join me at a birthday quiz night and help me to raise some money for a charity close to my heart.
Make a small donation here (suggested £10 / €10 per household if you can) and then join the quiz night by sending a short email to me daltonian@rocketmail.com. The event company who will handle all this is called Big Smoke Events. https://www.thebigsmokeevents.com
They are a great little company and I know them well.
NB. I will need to send your details to them and they will send you all the joining instructions. That means if you send me an email you are consenting to me passing on your email address for the purposes of this one night's entertainment.
- They will not email you with anything other than the information you need to play the game.
- I only need one email per household as you will be playing in house teams.
The Giraffe Project helps desperately deprived children walk tall
The Giraffe Project children's charity helps children in the giant slums of Nairobi, Kenya to build a future by going to school and receiving further education or professional training.
In mid-March, Kenya joined the list of countries taking drastic measures to prevent the transmission of the coronavirus. All schools, restaurants, markets and the small businesses that sustain life in the slums have been forced to close. There isn't a safety net and food riots have already started.
For my birthday, I'm asking us to come together, have some fun, and support the children's welfare. Special help is needed so the charity can do its part in providing for the youngsters who genuinely have nowhere else to turn.
