So for those who know me well, you will know that I am not athletic or a sportswoman on any level. In fact if you talked to me about running 4years ago, I would have told you "I don't understand what people are running away from. What's chasing them? (said in my best nigerian toned voice- aka my excuse for not seeing the point).

Then I spent a year in the beautiful city of Toronto and I was inspired by my work colleagues who were all keen athletes and runners (Big shoutout to Dr Carvalho!). A department fun race was organized and I didn't want to star in the movie "Black girl can't run" so I figured I better give it a try. 

Well I haven't run much since my Toronto stint so why am I running this time I hear you ask. Well basically quality education changed the trajectory of my path. It illuminated my world and paved a way for me into worlds I only dreamed about as a kid (always wanted to be a travelling clinician as an adult and somehow I am getting to live that dream). So I would like you to help me pay it forward by sponsoring my race and supporting many more children who would otherwise get left behind. Path to possibility is a charity I have supported for many years and it is truly amazing to see the lives of children and families they have impacted over the years. I am finally doing more than just supporting from the sidelines and I hope you will join me in making sure NO CHILD GETS LEFT BEHIND.
