The Birth Trauma Association supports families affected by traumatic childbirth. We also campaign to raise awareness of birth trauma and improve training of health professionals, as well as lobbying policymakers to improve care during and after childbirth.

Story

We are a team of health professionals working within the maternity department in Nottingham.

We work together to help to provide women with the support they need and keep them safe through pregnancy, birth and post natal care.

We are particularly passionate about supporting women and their families through previous traumatic birth experiences. The Birth Trauma Association (BTA) gives emotional and practical help through the post traumatic stress disorder that can develop after a difficult birth experience. These women and their families are not alone! We are keen to raise money and awareness for them via the BTA.

None of us are seasoned runners. For some of us this is our first time at distance running! Dig deep folks and please support us!
