Brain Tumour Research is the leading voice of the brain tumour community and focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. We are campaigning to increase the national investment in research to £35 million per year and funding sustainable Centres of Excellence across the UK.

Story

My fundraising, as part of team JustGiving.com/teams/BearOfTooMuchBrain, is motivated by the personal story of a good friend of my brother's, Phil Scard.
After last year's Isle of Man Easter Festival 10km race, Phil collapsed with a major seizure, and was rushed to hospital, where he received the diagnosis of a brain tumour.
Due to the position of the tumour, operating to remove it would risk too much disablement, and Phil's best chance lies in medical research.

Phil eloquently documents his experience of living with the tumour in his blogwww.facebook.com/BearOfTooMuchBrain.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.
Brain Tumour Research are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK.
Please help me fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
