Leasowe Lighthouse Abseil · 9 August 2009
Myself and two others will be participating in a 101 foot Abseil down Leasowe Lighthouse on the Wirral in order to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Leasowe Lighthouse stands on Leasowe Common and is a well known landmark on the Wirral.
Money raised will be used to support the Marie Curie Hospice in Liverpool which provides specialist medical and nursing care to over 3,500 local cancer patients each year through In-patient, Out-patient and Day Care services. On the Wirral, Marie Curie Cancer Care provides practical nursing care and support to people seriously ill with cancer in the comfort of their own homes. All services are provided free of charge to patients and their families.
