On the 31 August a group from the Imagine It Organisation, aged between 19 and 53, are to make up a team of 30 people to take on the massive National Three Peaks Challenge, climbing Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in the Lake District and Snowdon in Wales all within 24 hours, including travel in between. This enthusiastic team is taking on the challenge in memory of Victoria Cornish who passed away on January the 16th this year after her long fight with a Cancer called Adrenal Cortical Carcinoma (ACC). Since Victoria’s diagnosis the Imagine It team, supporters of Fynn and Victoria Cornish’s organisation ‘Imagine It’, have been holding an array of events and involving themselves in challenges to fundraise for Dr. Hammer and his team at the University of Michigan in their research to find a cure for ACC.

Please note that not many of us in the team were super fit or avid trekkers before we decided to take on this challenge. We simply looked for the biggest thing we could do in this country to raise awareness and money for the ACC project. It has been a tough year of training and many of us have given up alot of family time to spend weekends walking and getting in shape for it. We have gone from a bunch of strangers to a close group of friends, from all walks of life, which for us has made it even more worth it and further spreads the Imagine It ethos. All we ask from you is to offer a small contribution if you can, but we know that everyone cannot donate so please please share this page, as if 10 of 100 sponsor us that is great, but if 100 of 1,000 people sponsor us that would be awesome! And even more importantly for us and Vicky's legacy is that 1000 people won't have to be sad that she is gone. But have a reason to say... 'It's not that bad'.

Another important mention and to avoid confusion is to point out that at the moment Just Giving do not support US charities but they do allow you to link up with a UK charity that are happy to allow you to set up a page in their name and they will transfer all of the money raised to the University of Michigan. This is exactly what the lovely people at Star Throwers are willing to do for us to help us on our fundraising mission. For their kindness in doing so all gift-aid contributions will be kept by them as another Cancer supporting charity and we would like to offer them a massive 'Thank you!' on behalf of the Imagine It Street Team!
