I MEMORIAL OF ZBIGNIEW BLOCH

Agnieszka Swistowska is raising money for Doncaster Cancer Detection Trust
In memory of Zbigniew Bloch
The charity raises funds to buy cancer-related equipment for local hospitals. Since 1972 it has raised in excess of £4m to build and equip St John's Hospice (now run independently) and over £8m for equipment for the local NHS trusts. DCDT is run entirely by volunteers - there are no paid staff.

Story

We would like to invite and encourage everyone to donate and support our cause for Doncaster Cancer Trust. Zbigniew was a true ambassador and promoter of the sport, someone who did make volleyball dreams come true. After he passed away, The Miners decided to keep his passion and love of volleyball going. His dream was to make it a successful, popular sport in this country, now Zbigniew's dream is our dream and mission. His legacy never stopped, but grew to the next level where The Miners men’s team play in National League First Division and newly formed women’s team entered NVL.

The first memorial of Zbigbniew Bloch will see four teams – York VC, Miners VC, Goole VC and Skyball BVC playing a mixed competition while fundraising and celebrating the life of Zbyszek through the game he loved the most.
