Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My name is Imogen Hale; I am 18 years old and I have set this page up to help fundraise for Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) which are partnered with ICS (International Citizen Service). VSO is a government funded youth program which gives 18-25 year old's a chance to experience life and volunteering work abroad while living in the local communities that VSO are helping. I have been selected by VSO and the government to work in this programme.
I will be going to Loitokitok in Kenya from September to December 2015. Loitokitok is a town in Kajiado County in Kenya and is within the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro.
It is 158 miles southeast of Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. The town of Loitokitok is small in size but is a growing part of South-Eastern Kenya.
For this project I need to raise £800 to help support the programme. To do this I am organising and taking part in a variety of events including car washes, car boot sales, cake stalls, selling my own chocolate and walking the whole length of the Ridgeway in 4 days.
I am very grateful to everyone who donates to this cause as you are helping the work that VSO are able to do and the opportunities that you are giving to other young volunteers like me to help achieve something important.
