Story

2019 marks the 10-year anniversary that Guy's & St. Thomas' Hospital saved my older sister’s life.

To help raise awareness and support, I am running (never ran before in my life...!) the Hackney Half this May.

My sister was diagnosed with Goodpasture Syndrome which is a rare autoimmune disease in which antibodies attack the kidneys, leading to kidney failure. She underwent aggressive chemotherapy and was days away from death but all thanks to Guy's & St. Thomas' Hospital, they saved her life.

For those of you who know me well, sports isn’t my forte and having done nothing (except for being thankful), I thought it was time to do something and give back something to the organisation who saved Juliet’s life.

Thank you for your support and hope to see you in the pub on the 19th May.

Love,

Imogen x
