Rafah international presents: The Ramdan Project Rafah Foundation is providing Iftar every day in Ramadan for needy people in Tarim, Hadramawt and the surrounding area. Although the region has not been directly affected by conflict, food prices have risen greatly and there are many local people in need as well as displaced families from other areas of Yemen who have settled in Tarim. Rafah Foundation runs a number of humanitarian and educational projects in Yemen. It was set up under the direction of Habib Umar bin Hafiz and is based in Tarim, Hadramawt. The foundation does not deduct administrative charges from donations. £2 (or $3 US) provides dates, water and an evening meal of chicken and rice for one fasting person. Those who donate will not only have the reward of breaking someone elses fast but also the reward of feeding and sustaining people in need and part of the reward for their fasting and prayers.
