The Tandem Tart Challenge.

The TTC was born in March 2016.

Before being diagnosed with M.E. in 2013, I had competed in all distances on the back of a tandem, including three 24 hour time trials. So what better way to raise funds for vital research into this devasting condition than to compete in a variety of time trials on the tandem with a different Partner each time.

I thought this challenge would run it's course but here we are in our ninth year and 83 Partners later.

I was lucky to get a ballot place in the 2025 London Marathon. I finished in 5.34.27, well inside my target of a sub 6 hour marathon.

Life remains difficult though, each achievement comes at a price but I am grateful that I continue to make progress and will never forget those dark days of being housebound.
